Drag Queen Seeks Apprentice

Do you have what it takes to be this fabulous?

A female impersonator from Manchester says his search for an apprentice was directly inspired by Sir Alan Sugar.

Lanzarote based Titti Trollop (real name Paul Carroll) has advertised for an apprentice drag queen to star alongside him at The Music Hall Tavern in Peurto del Carmen.

The 39 year old has been running the review act for 15 years but feels the time is approaching for him to hang up his high heels.

He said: “I have a handful of other performers in the show but, not to put too fine a point on it, none of us are getting any younger.

“What we desperately need is some new blood. Someone hot, young and fabulous.

“I turned on the television the other night and saw an episode of The Apprentice. It hit me like a bolt of lightening – that’s what I need!”

He added that no qualifications would be required for the job and full training would be provided. The location is fantastic – right on the beach at one of the most popular tourist resorts in the Canary Islands. Hours though are unsociable – the apprentice will be expected to work six evenings a week.

On the upside a uniform will be provided – sequined dress with high heels and feather boa. The salary is undisclosed but is thought to be slightly more modest than the £100,000 Sir Alan offers to his apprentice.

Titti added: “This is a great opportunity for someone. It’s a fabulous life out here in Lanzarote. We’ve got sun, sea, sand and sangria.

“I don’t really care about qualifications. I’m looking for a young man with a great voice, a great pair of legs and an outgoing personality. I can’t wait to tell him, ‘You’re hired!’”

Madonna becomes our unlikely poster girl

Our controversial campaign for bingo website Unluckyforsome.co.uk continues to win valuable coverage in the national press. Today it was featured in the Daily Telegraph - providing the client a useful inbound hyperlink.

We were amazed to read the Telegraph’s suggestion that Madonna would make the ideal poster girl for our campaign. Fantastic stuff. I wonder if she’s free?

Obese Young Woman Required

Do You Have Arms Like This?

Do You Have Arms Like This?

We’ve all heard of jobs that come with fat salaries but now one company is advertising for a fat candidate.

Bingo comparison website Unluckyforsome.co.uk wants to hire an “obese young woman” to star in its latest advertising campaign.

The site plans to launch a new advertising push called “Show Us Your Bingo Wings” and needs an overweight lady who’s willing to be the face - and arms – of the campaign.

An advert has been placed on jobs website Gumtree and job centres throughout the UK have also been informed.

Ten shortlisted candidates will be invited to a casting session in London next month where one will be selected for the job which comes with a £100,000 salary (pro rata).

Candidates should apply by sending in photographs showcasing their flabby underarms – known as “bingo wings”.

The photos will be judged and the ten shortlisted candidates informed. They will be asked to take part in a “Bingo Wings Idol” style selection test before one lucky winner is selected. She will then feature in a filmed commercial which could be shown around the world.

The job advertisement reads:

No skinny people or over 50s please

A spokesman for Unluckyforsome.co.uk said: “This is a unique opportunity for someone who may have always wanted to become famous but didn’t know how to go about it. It’s also a celebration of the female form and to prove to everyone you don’t have to be skinny to be beautiful – happy and healthy figures are the way to go.

“We’re looking for a big, beautiful woman aged 18-50. Perhaps they don’t think of themselves as conventionally beautiful but have loads of energy and confidence all the same.

“We’re sick of seeing pencil thin models promoting everything from make-up to washing powder so need your help. If you, or someone you know, is big and beautiful then we want to hear from you.”

If you would like to enter the competition email a photo showing your face and exposed underarm, or tricep area, to bingowings@pressmanpr.co.uk For more information please visit www.unluckyforsome.co.uk
